Due to persistent nagging from Bryan this
year’s annual Blue Lake trip was converted
into an essentially light weight cross-country
ski trip that would incorporate huts in the
Mount Kosciusko national park. The trip was
initially planned from Thursday 17th July
to Monday 21st July 2008 and this year’s
perennial adventurers included the usual players:
Bryan, Gary, Will, Patrick and Roman. Some
of the previous players where missing due
to baby commitments so here is the official
acknowledgement for you new dads out there:
Jules and Chris who are living out there newly
found baby-sitting passion and Dave who is
broken-hearted once more in the Maldives and
couldn't make it this year. Don't worry you
only missed one of the best trips ever!
This year’s trip started somewhat ominously
with Bryan falling sick with a life-threatening
cold that demanded 14 days straight in bed
and 7grams of vitamin C in addition to lots
of pampering from Nola. Repeated ‘poor
little rabbit’ calls from his mates
completely failed to get him out of bed and
he insisted until 60minutes before the team
was leaving Sydney that nothing could change
his mind and he was still too sick to go.
