Pearl Beach March 2018

"I don’t want to go to heaven. None of my friends are there."

Summer was nearing its end so it was time to squeeze in one more Pearl Beach weekend before the days would become shorter. Our old house at Pearl Beach had seen an increase in rental prize so we opted for something a little more exotic pretty much next door. Our new place Casa Bianca came with its own backyard pool, trampoline, cabana and most importantly a Ping-Pong table. For our first trip in 2018 we had Elka, Diane, Tom and Jane join us with Bryan, Nola, Leo and Oli; Mat, Larisa with Raphaela and Gabriel, Will with Martha, Christoph, Liam and Alphie and Louise, Roman with Roman Junior. Not a bad turn-out after all. Most of us arrive Friday afternoon for a late plunge in the pool followed by some pizza take-away. Saturday started early with beach activities and loads of coffee and by the early afternoon it was time to decide where to go climbing. The problem was that the house was almost too relaxing and there was no need to venture out into the great unknown beyond the front fence. Nevertheless we decided to go for a quick foray to the nearby unfortunately names Brown Room, incidentally the Central Coast premier bouldering crag. The second main cave is the called the Brown Room proper and has a good selection of easy traversing for the kids and some harder roof classics for the budding professional.

"To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive."

You can watch Roman Junior on the classic:  Around the World Roof problem.

The Pearl Beach waterline project was also completed this time: Pearly

The three star classic: Martha and Will pool flip

By early afternoon the heat was picking up its pace and shimmering beach below us was calling for our attention.  It was time to head back for some slacklining, more Ping-Pong, salami and cheese and most importantly Mat’s cryptic crossword, which was coming along pretty nicely.  The sun had disappeared by the time the barbecue was in full swing. Sunday morning the yoga studio was calling for some of us with kid’s snorkelling and slacklining at the beach.

"The first to apoligize is the bravest. The first to forgive is the stonggest. The first to forget is the happiest."
